Falmouth Sports Club is a members-owned and operated multi sports club in a prime location just outside the town centre. It is bounded by a hotel, doctor’s surgery, church and residential housing. Across the road is one of the town’s five primary/junior schools.
The Club is a long established (over 100 years) sports club run by members for members through a Committee. This committee meets monthly throughout the year.
The Club currently provides 4 outdoor tennis courts, 2 of which are floodlit, 3 squash/racketball courts, a gymnasium, full time bar and catering services and a range of meeting rooms/activity areas used for table tennis, martial arts, yoga, road running, weddings, parties and local meetings and seminars. There are plans in hand for the provision of new and upgraded floodlighting to all tennis courts later in 2010
It ‘punches above its weight’ in terms of regional achievement. Currently both the Cornwall men’s and women’s squash champions are from Falmouth Club. The youngest member is just 5, the oldest is still playing squash at the age of 78.
The Club has always had a strong focus on junior coaching in both squash and tennis. One of the squash players who rose recently through the junior ranks is now a full-time student at the prestigious Pontefract squash academy.
The Club is currently working towards Clubmark status both for squash and tennis.
Falmouth Sports Club is well-known and respected in the town and is actively increasing its involvement in the local community. It is a popular venue for parties and events. A recent marketing proposal discussed ways in which this community involvement can be developed and increased in the years ahead.

I submitted a question last week regarding membership and I have not had a reply. My daughter is thinking about joining the gym but when we set up payment there appears to be no facility before you have paid to enter her details. Can you advise how she signs up as a member in her own right.
thanks
